Panther Learning Commons & Library News (by Mrs. Sue Guebert)

The library has gone through a lot of changes in the last few years, but we are up and running in full force now!

Pre-Kindergarten through 5th graders are happy to be able to visit the Panther Learning Commons/Library on a regular schedule this year. All classes have a set library time weekly, and often those visits include a story time with Mrs. Sue Guebert. If it’s an engaging book, even “big kids” love to be read too!

Our dedicated volunteer, Mrs. Clara Dunbar, helps students find just the right book and has recently been working on reshelving thousands of books to make them easier to find. The library features books on special subjects, including: Black History Month, Presidents Day, Christmas, Caldecott and Newbery Award winners, and more. We’ve been blessed with many donations of new books that are being checked out with enthusiasm! We have a book for everyone!

All classes, Pre-Kindergarten - 8th Grade are welcome to use the Panther Learning Commons for MAP testing, special projects, study time, or simply for a change of venue. It has state of the art furnishings, including easily movable chairs and tables that encourage a collaborative working environment.

Our IT Support Technician, Mr. Noah Benoun has his office in the Panther Learning Commons and among his many duties, he oversees the use of our 3D printer and video equipment.

Come visit the St. Paul’s Panther Learning Commons/Library at our next Scholastic Book Fair, which will be held during the first week of May!
