Mrs. Robin Gomes
Welcome to St. Paul's Lutheran School!
I am honored to serve as principal at St. Paul's Lutheran School alongside this wonderful ministry team of administrators, faculty, and staff. This is my second year at St. Paul's and I am thankful for the opportunity to carry out the mission of St. Paul's as we educate, nurture, and equip students for a lifetime of learning and discipleship.
This is my 20th year as a professional educator. After teaching for nine years, God called me to serve in school leadership. I have had the opportunity to serve as a school principal and assistant principal in small and large Lutheran schools in California and Nevada. I also serve as the chairperson of the Pacific Southwest District Curriculum and Assessment Task Force, as well as several other committees and teams in our church, community, and district. I earned my B.A. (Behavioral Science, 1999) and M.A.Ed. (Curriculum & Instruction, 2007) from Concordia University in Irvine, California.
I enjoy spending time with my family and I am thankful to God for my roles as wife and mother. My husband, Domingo, teaches in the middle school at St. Paul's, and my daughter and son, Natalie and Harrison, attend Orange Lutheran High School. We take in as much beach, Disneyland, and theater as our busy schedules allow.
One of my favorite Bible verses is John 16:33, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." This verse reminds me that, no matter what challenges we face, we can have courage with hope because of Jesus's victory over death and his power in us. I pray that you and your family are comforted and encouraged by Jesus's saving grace and love for you.
