Welcome!

Hello & Welcome!

My name is Ashley Klitzing - my students call me Mrs. K.  This is my 13th year serving in Lutheran Ministry.  I love working with the wonderful faculty and staff at St. Paul's!

I was born and raised in Southern California.  I knew that God gave me a passion for teaching and a desire to work with children at a very young age.  I attended Concordia University, Irvine, where I studied Education and played on the Women's Volleyball Team.  I graduated in 2008 with a BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Art, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a Lutheran Teaching Certificate.

In 2008 I married my husband, Nate.  Nate teaches World History at Crean Lutheran High School where he is also the Head Boys Basketball Coach.  We have two daughters who love being students here at St. Paul's.  We worship at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and we also live in Orange - we love being a part of this community!

I have a very large family, and I love spending time with them.  The beach is our "happy place."  I love traveling, trying new restaurants, enjoying a good cup of coffee, cooking, working out, reading, and of course, MAKING ART!

I have the pleasure of teaching K-8 Art at St. Paul's.  Whether we are learning in person or remotely this year,  I look forward to seeing the academic and creative growth that will take place in each one of my students.  Most of all, I am excited to share the love and saving grace of Jesus with them as we learn and grow together.  We may not know what the future holds, but we know WHO holds the future.  I look forward to seeing all that God has planned for us this year!
