Student Support

Helping Every Learner Thrive

We believe every child is uniquely created by God and has the ability to learn, grow, and succeed. Our Student Support Services meet students where they are, providing the guidance, encouragement, and resources they need to thrive academically in a Christ-centered environment.

Led by Mrs. Groves, our Director of Student Support, the Student Support Team partners with families, teachers, and administrators to provide individualized support based on each student’s needs. Together, we help students build skills, gain confidence, and experience success as active, valued members of the St. Paul’s community.

A Personalized Approach

We believe the best support begins in the classroom. Our teachers use differentiated instruction, flexible teaching strategies, and appropriate accommodations to help students succeed alongside their peers.

When additional support is beneficial, services are tailored to each student’s individual learning profile and may include:

  • Classroom accommodations and instructional support
  • Push-in support within the general education classroom
  • Small-group or individualized pull-out instruction
  • Individualized learning plans with measurable goals
  • Research-based interventions in reading, writing, mathematics, executive functioning, and organization
  • Alternative testing environments and accommodations, when appropriate

Every support plan is designed to build independence, confidence, and the skills students need for long-term success.

A Collaborative Partnership

At St. Paul’s, we believe students thrive when school and home work together. Mrs. Groves and the Student Support Team partner closely with classroom teachers and families to develop individualized plans, monitor progress, celebrate growth, and adjust support as students’ needs evolve.

Our goal is for every student to feel known, supported, and encouraged as they grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Determining the Right Fit

Every child learns differently. During the admissions process, we carefully review academic records, educational evaluations, and any existing accommodation or support plans to determine whether St. Paul’s can appropriately support a student’s learning needs.

We encourage families to share learning concerns, previous evaluations, and existing plans as early as possible. Honest, open communication helps us understand each child and work with families to make thoughtful decisions about the support they may need.
